The 2022 World Snooker Championship begins on Saturday with a blockbuster talent day with defending champions among the roster.
The full World Snooker Championship main draw has yet to be made, but the top seeds have been placed into slots over the coming week pending word of their opposition.
Last year’s winner Mark Selby will open his title defense with the opener of the competition, while Zhao Xintong will kick off his tournament on the opposite table.
The action shifts to an afternoon session which will feature Ronnie O’Sullivan and Barry Hawkins on the tables against unranked players hoping to make an impact on the big stage.
Finally, on Saturday night, Selby will return to complete their encounter as defeated 2021 runner-up Shaun Murphy begins their championship.
